Job Summary
Lead the design, review, and implementation of electrical systems for nuclear, oil and gas, and switchgear building projects. Develop design documentation and engineering specifications while performing design coordination with multidisciplinary teams. Provide technical leadership to junior engineers, conduct quality reviews of deliverables, and ensure compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code. Participate in stakeholder coordination, including client meetings and technical presentations, and contribute to engineering standards development. Requires a P.Eng. designation, 10+ years of experience, and a hybrid work environment in Toronto.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing with a Canadian engineering regulator, including PEO or equivalent
- Minimum 10+ years of electrical engineering experience
- Minimum 5 years of design and project experience in one or more of the following sectors: Nuclear, Oil and Gas, Switchgear Electrical Building Design
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and other applicable local and international electrical standards and regulations
- Demonstrated experience leading electrical engineering design activities and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams
- Strong project management, technical leadership, mentoring, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Experience using electrical engineering design software
- Knowledge of sustainability initiatives and energy-efficient design practices
- Additional experience across multiple industrial and energy infrastructure sectors
- Experience contributing to engineering standards, templates, and continuous improvement programs
