Job Summary
Design and implement complex electrical systems for airport, infrastructure, and building projects, overseeing detailed design documentation to ensure regulatory compliance. Lead multidisciplinary teams in delivering integrated project solutions while managing schedules, budgets, and client engagement. Mentor junior engineers, review technical work for accuracy, and contribute to departmental growth by developing engineering standards and best practices. Requires a P.Eng. designation, 10+ years of experience, and 5+ years designing infrastructure in Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing with PEO (Professional Engineers Ontario)
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering
- At least 5 years of experience designing and managing projects in Canada
- Strong understanding of applicable codes, standards, and regulations, including CEC and other local and international standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with both internal teams and external clients
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and mentor teams
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in AutoCAD, and other electrical design software is an asset
- Knowledge of sustainability initiatives and energy-efficient design practices
- Familiarity with airport systems
