Job Summary
Design electrical systems from schematics through construction administration, developing designs from concept to completion while preparing detailed calculations, layouts, and reports. Coordinate requirements with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines, perform site surveys, and lead project teams to mentor emerging engineers. Provide expertise on large, complex projects involving power, lighting, and low voltage systems using Revit MEP. This role requires a licensed professional engineer with seven years of experience in commercial, educational, sports, workplace, and civic projects. DLR Group is an employee-owned integrated design firm pursuing the 2030 Challenge, offering a four-day in-office work model with Friday flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- 7+ years' experience as an Electrical Engineer designing power and lighting building systems on complex projects
- Experience with consulting engineering or A/E firm as an electrical engineer designing power, lighting, and low voltage systems for Commercial Educational, Sports, Workplace, or Civic projects
- Experience with BIM, specifically Revit MEP
