Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer - Design with Team Lead responsibilities in building consulting engineering. Lead multiple electrical design projects from concept through construction, provide technical oversight, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with mechanical/structural/architectural teams. Duties include preparing/reviewing drawings, specifications, and reports; attending client meetings and site visits; supporting contract administration (shop drawings, site reviews); contributing to project planning, scheduling, and budgeting; and supporting team growth and internal process improvements. Requires a degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering or EE Technology and 7–10+ years of experience; strong design experience across power, lighting, and emergency systems; leadership and client-facing capabilities; and a path toward or current P.Eng/CET designation is beneficial.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- 7 to 10+ years of experience in building consulting engineering
- Strong experience in electrical systems design (power, lighting, emergency)
- Proven project leadership and mentor capabilities
- Strong communication skills and client-facing experience
