Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer for Critical Facilities in White Plains, NY. Responsible for designing electrical power systems for new and expanding data centers, leading multi-disciplinary electrical engineering design projects, developing conceptual designs from client meetings, and coordinating with management on proposals, schedules, and budgets. Utilize AutoCAD and Revit MEP to prepare drawings, develop construction documents, review shop drawings and RFIs, and lead the design teams through complex projects. The role involves collaborating with trades and stakeholders, overseeing design activities, and supporting commissioning and project closeout. Requires extensive experience with data-center power systems, electrical distribution, generators, UPS, PDUs, switchgear, and knowledge of relevant codes and standards; strong communication and leadership skills; and the ability to work in a hybrid arrangement (onsite in White Plains and remote as needed).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering degree
- Licensed PE / EIT a Plus
- Experience designing electrical systems for data centers
- Experience with Electrical Power Systems / Power Distribution System design and installation
- Proficiency with AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP
- Knowledge of NEC, Life Safety and Energy Conservation Codes
- Experience with UPS, Generators, Batteries, switchgear, PDUs, and Power Distribution Units
- Ability to develop construction documents and specifications
- Strong communication and project-management skills
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling)
- Experience with field observations and commissioning support
