Job Summary
Lead electrical design activities at system architecture and PCB levels, creating, reviewing, and approving schematics, layouts, and engineering documentation. Serve as a subject matter expert in schematic capture, layout, and design optimization while utilizing advanced tools to develop high-quality, manufacturable circuit board designs. Perform analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations for complex electrical issues, supporting prototype development, testing, qualification, and transition to production manufacturing. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers, participate in design reviews and risk assessments, and support manufacturing through design for manufacturability and production readiness activities. Occasional travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering discipline
- 10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience supporting complex electronic systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance
- Expert-level experience with PCB design tools for schematic capture and PCB layout
- Strong understanding of PCB design principles
- Experience designing, testing, troubleshooting, and releasing electronic hardware into production environments
- Experience with electrical system integration and hardware development lifecycle processes
- Ability to interpret and develop engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering and manufacturing team
- Occasional Travel may be required. 10%
- Must be able to lift/and or move up to: 20 lbs
