Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer to produce engineering design and construction deliverables from concept to completion, lead design-build pursuits/projects by creating scope of work, schedule, and budget; create energization and electrical performance methods and procedures; assist with equipment testing and energization; provide field observations, write RFIs, and answer technical questions; interface with field/Project teams, product manufacturers, distributors, repair and testing companies; perform engineering calculations (heat, pulls, power system studies); collaborate with owners, construction managers, and design professionals; require a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of experience; bonus points for PE license in Ohio and codes/standards experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- At least 10 years of experience in consulting engineering or electrical construction
- Bonus: PE certification in the State of Ohio
- Bonus: Experience with NFPA, NEC, NFPA 70E and other applicable codes and standards
- Bonus: Experience in designing, constructing, and installing building electrical systems
- Bonus: Experience in power system studies (Short Circuit, Selective Coordination, Arc Flash)
- Bonus: Project experience in mission critical, healthcare, industrial, or commercial sectors
- Bonus: Experience with heat calculations and MV cable pull calculations
Desired Qualifications
- PE certification in Ohio (preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in consulting engineering or electrical construction
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with NFPA, NEC, NFPA 70E and other applicable codes and standards (preferred)
- Experience in preparing power system studies (short circuit, selective coordination, arc flash) (preferred)
- Project experience in mission critical, healthcare, industrial, or commercial sectors (preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio (preferred)
