Job Summary

Review and approve electrical engineering deliverables for new construction, remodels, and capital upgrades across commercial and supermarket facilities, ensuring designs align with codes, criteria, and best practices. Lead coordination with mechanical, refrigeration, and architectural disciplines while consulting utilities on service requirements and advising vendors on constructability. Conduct on-site assessments of existing systems, perform field inspections of completed installations, and prepare deficiency reports to support corrective actions. Mentor junior engineers and guide updates to client engineering standards to enhance safety and cost-effectiveness. Requires PE license, 10+ years of experience, and ability to travel up to 15%.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years of electrical engineering experience within an MEP consulting or similar technical environment
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
  • Extensive experience with electrical distribution, lighting, grounding, and life safety systems in commercial, retail, industrial, or supermarket facilities
  • Demonstrated expertise performing high‐level technical reviews, code compliance evaluations, and system-level coordination
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including client-facing interaction
  • Deep knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70), applicable building codes, and industry standards
  • Proficiency in reviewing AutoCAD or Revit-based design packages

  • Effective technical communicator with strong client‐facing consulting skills
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and support the development of engineering standards
  • Detail‐oriented, quality‐focused, and effective at resolving complex technical issues
