Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer responsible for serving as a technical expert on Pepco-related underground and overhead distribution design standards, leading QA reviews of electrical design packages to ensure compliance with Pepco, DDOT, and local requirements, developing and maintaining engineering standards, checklists, and QA/QC procedures, mentoring junior engineers, and coordinating with clients, permitting agencies, and construction teams to resolve technical issues and improve design efficiency; supports internal audits and continuous improvement within the engineering department.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in electrical distribution design with direct Pepco experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience in standards development, QA/QC, and design review for utility projects
- Strong understanding of NESC, NEC, and Pepco distribution standards
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
