Senior Electrical Engineer - Building Services

Job Summary
Lead innovative electrical design for diverse building projects across North Queensland, delivering sustainable, future-ready solutions from concept to completion. Provide technical leadership and client liaison, preparing proposals, reports, and cost estimates while ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction. Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive project success. This permanent role offers full-time or part-time flexibility, with opportunities for career development in a supportive environment. Based in Cairns, Mackay, or Townsville, you will work with architects, designers, and planners to bring inspirational landscapes and infrastructure to life.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 years' + experience as an Electrical Engineer in the Building Services environment
- ideally with a consultancy background
- Be a Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ) or have a mutually recognised registration e.g. (CPEng, RPEV)
- Deep knowledge of electrical standards, codes, regulations, and renewable energy solutions
- proficiency in industry software (AutoCAD, Revit, PowerCAD, AGi32/DIALux, Microsoft Office)
- Expertise in technical report writing, fee proposals, cost reporting, and stakeholder liaison, including local authorities and utilities
- Strong communication and technical leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams
- Outstanding client service skills, with a genuine enthusiasm for building relationships and driving business growth by delivering exceptional support and solutions to our clients
- Based in Cairns, Mackay or Townsville
