Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design, development, and delivery of advanced electrical systems for unmanned vehicles and defense programs. Responsibilities include driving electrical system architecture, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into deliverables, creating and maintaining design specifications, test procedures, and technical reports, mentoring junior engineers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety requirements, performing detailed calculations, simulations and testing to optimize performance, troubleshooting complex challenges, and managing project timelines and budgets. Stay current with advancements in electrical engineering to continuously improve products.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in a senior role within defence, tech or fast-paced environment
- Expertise in electrical engineering principles, techniques, and technologies
- Proficiency in industry-standard electrical design and simulation software
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to mentor junior engineers
- Strong time management and organisational abilities
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with fast-paced environment practices (agility, adaptability)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Australian Government Security Clearance (NV2)
