Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer lead the electrical team within AECOM's Water EI&A practice; responsible for delivering mid- to large-scale electrical engineering projects, mentoring junior staff, developing designs for MV/LV power distribution, lighting and controls, fire alarm systems, and process equipment controls; ensure code compliance; manage budgets, schedules, and coordination with clients and contractors; lead FAT/SAT and commissioning support; requires PE in Ontario and 10+ years in engineering consulting; candidate should have strong leadership, client relationship, and project-management skills; sponsorship not available for Canadian employment; hybrid remote option at Mississauga, Ontario offices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in Ontario
- Minimum of ten (10+) years of experience in the engineering consulting industry
- Experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- 2 years of leadership experience
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes (OESC, OBC, IEEE, NFPA, ASHRAE, CSA)
- Experience in electrical design for MV/LV distribution, lighting, controls, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
- Experience in design reviews, budgets, schedules, resource estimates
- Project coordination with clients, contractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available
