Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer who provides advanced technical leadership for planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of electric distribution and transmission systems. The role supervises engineering staff, leads project teams, and ensures safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective service for member-owners. Responsibilities include overseeing engineering design upgrades, system modeling and power system studies (voltage drop, fault current, protection coordination), ensuring adherence to NESC/NEC/RUS standards, managing budgets and contracts, coordinating with internal departments, regulatory bodies, and external partners, and delivering technical guidance for power system planning and performance improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
- Preferred 8–10 years of progressive electric utility or cooperative experience in power systems engineering
