Job Summary
Senior Electrical Designer needed to lead end-to-end design of sophisticated electrical systems for a diverse portfolio (retail, senior living, industrial, multi-family, commercial) in Orlando. Responsibilities include system architecture and design, advanced electrical calculations per NEC/IBC, production of construction documents and specifications, project stewardship (budgets, schedules, resources), multidisciplinary coordination with PMs, architects, and MEP engineers, mentoring junior staff, rigorous quality governance and site visits, and client-facing technical engagement. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent technical degree, 8+ years (or 11+ with an alternative credential) of electrical systems design experience, expert Revit and AutoCAD skills, deep NEC/IBC knowledge, and strong communication skills. Preferred: active EIT or PE licensure; experience in Senior Living, Multi-Family, or Industrial sectors.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or an Associate degree in a technical field
- Experience: 8+ years with a BSEE; 10+ years with an Associate degree; or 11+ years of demonstrated practical expertise in electrical systems design
- Software Proficiency: Expert-level command of Revit and AutoCAD
- Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive mastery of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and International Building Codes (IBC)
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills with a proven ability to lead technical discussions
