Job Summary
Senior Electrical Designer to develop electrical designs and technical documentation for marine winch and handling systems; create detailed electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, BOMs, and schematics; support design, build and test of electronic components and sub-assemblies (wiring harnesses, electronics enclosures, racks, PCB); maintain project files and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with industry standards; requires a Diploma in Engineering Technology and 10+ years of experience, with strong AutoCAD Electrical and SolidWorks skills, and PLC-based motor control experience; security clearance eligibility is required.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Engineering Technology or a related field
- At least 10 years of experience in engineering technology and design
- Strong experience with AutoCAD Electrical and SolidWorks
- Experience generating engineering documentation, wiring schematics and BOMs
- Experience creating electro-mechanical assemblies and electronic racks
- Experience with specifying and commissioning PLC-based motor control systems using variable frequency and servo motor drives
- Knowledge of relevant industry safety regulations and standards
- Practical design testing experience
- Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Good teamwork and communication skills
