Job Summary
Senior Electrical Designer to lead electrical design efforts on a range of facilities (offices, laboratories, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing, educational, government and commercial). Responsibilities include electrical plan layout, equipment selection, BIM modeling in Revit and AutoCAD, coordinating with other consultants and project team members, client interaction, reading and interpreting drawings/specifications, and traveling to jobsites across the state and region. Requires a diploma/certification in drafting technology or equivalent BIM experience, and minimum 10 years of electrical design experience in a consulting engineering context. Knowledge of building, electrical, and energy conservation codes; strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to develop and design within a BIM environment and manage project execution from concept to completion.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of electrical design experience in the consulting engineering field
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD and related design software
- Diploma and/or certification from an accredited drafting technology program or equivalent BIM modeling experience in Revit and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of building, electrical, and energy conservation codes
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Ability to collaborate with project teams, attend meetings, site visits, RFIs, and submittals
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, graphical)
