Job Summary
Senior Electrical Design Optimization Engineer responsible for evaluating electrical and embedded hardware architectures, identifying optimization opportunities, and translating technical insights into practical design improvements that enhance cost, manufacturability, quality, and performance. Collaborates with system architects and cross-functional teams to refine requirements, assess alternative concepts, conduct teardown/reverse engineering activities, engage with suppliers and manufacturing partners, and communicate technical considerations to customers and internal stakeholders. Requires broad knowledge across electrical engineering disciplines (power supply, digital/analog electronics, RF) and experience with DFMEA, modeling/simulation tools, and value/cost optimization. Role is individual contributor with a focus on delivering value-driven design solutions; minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in embedded hardware design, electrical engineering, value engineering, or related discipline
