Job Summary
Senior Electrical Controls Engineer responsible for electrical design including schematic design, PLC and HMI programming, startup and troubleshooting of custom web converting and coating equipment. Develop applications of controls and systems including PLC and HMI development; provide field support during manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing; perform operation, software maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations; stay current with latest technical innovations in electrical engineering and industrial controls. Work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment; uphold Delta ModTech values (Believe in People, Fearless Innovation, Integrity, Passionate & Tenacious, Servant Leadership). Travel <10%; normal office environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering: Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, System, Controls or similar
- 8+ years of experience with industrial controls in a project-based automation or machine design environment
- PLC programming: Allen Bradley, Siemens or Yaskawa
- Motion control programming of rotary and linear servo axes
- HMI Development: Visual Basic.NET, C#, Factory Talk
- Machine Vision application development for inspection with Cognex, Keyence or similar platforms
- Competent in the use of Auto-Cad Electrical
- Design electrical panels to meet UL 508A and electrical systems to meet NEC/IEC/CEC standards
