Job Summary
Senior Electrical Commissioning Project Engineer to lead commissioning activities across the full project lifecycle for critical infrastructure projects. Role involves directing functional testing, factory witness testing, and on-site validation; managing multiple assignments with attention to schedule, budget, and quality; interpreting contract documents to identify risks and opportunities; and mentoring junior engineers. Requires electrical engineering degree or qualified electrician background, 7+ years in electrical systems or 3+ years commissioning, data center or mission-critical experience, and proficiency with electrical distribution, HVAC, controls, fire alarm, and automation. Travel is regular with relocation opportunities; role is based in Atlanta, GA or San Jose, CA and requires on-site work with ability to work in field environments. Preferred credentials include EIT, CEM, LEED, OSHA 30, and BIM experience.
Required Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering degree or Qualified Electrician background
- 7+ years in electrical systems OR 3+ years commissioning
- Data center or mission-critical experience
- Experience with electrical distribution, HVAC systems, controls, fire alarm, and automation
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to lead meetings and manage multiple priorities
