Job Summary
Lead design efforts for water/wastewater electrical power distribution and automation projects, creating site plans, single-line diagrams, P&IDs, and detailed control panel schematics for municipalities. Conduct constructability reviews, coordinate with contractors and integrators to meet design intent, and prepare project specifications for electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA systems. Visit client sites to assess field conditions and collaborate with inspectors to develop practical, code-compliant solutions. Mentor junior engineers, review shop drawings and submittals, and update design standards to align with industry practices. Manage multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored automation solutions while ensuring quality control and technical accuracy across consulting and integration design phases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program
- 7+ years of experience as an Electrical/Controls Design Engineer
- Advanced Computer Skills, Literacy, & Proficiency
- Must possess effective oral, written, and digital communication skills
- Ability to travel throughout Concentric Integration's service area (Approximately 10% travel to Houston area clients)
- Must be able to easily interact with other design staff and with consulting engineers
- Must possess effective organizational skills for productive task and time management
- Must be able to identify and solve problems in a timely manner
Desired Qualifications
- AutoCAD experience preferred
- Visio experience a plus
- P.E. license is preferred
