Job Summary
Conduct relay, power system, arc flash, cable ampacity, transient, harmonic, renewable energy, and grounding calculations for substation and transmission projects. Perform advanced electrical studies using ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, and EMTP-RV software while collaborating with project teams and clients. Travel to client offices and project sites for on-site consultation when required. Lead engineers in automating workflows and reducing rework using modern tools and AI. This role offers a hybrid schedule with competitive compensation ranging from $84,762 to $129,498. Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (background in Power/Power Systems)
- 5 or more years of experience performing electrical analysis
- Experience performing analysis of power systems using software such as: ETAP, SKM, PSCAD and EMTP-RV
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work with and guide others
- Willingness or ability to lead others who use modern tools
- Willingness or ability to direct automation and process-improvement work
- Willingness or ability to oversee engineers who program or script (e.g., Python, MATLAB, advanced Excel) to automate engineering tasks
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering
- Strong working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, etc.
- Successful completion of the Professional Engineering (PE) exam
- Additional learning, such as a minor, certificate, or other experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields
