Senior EHS Specialist (Environmental, Health, and Safety)

Lead site environmental, health, and safety programs at the OC Campus (Irvine and Santa Ana, CA) to ensure regulatory compliance, reduce risk, and strengthen safety culture. Develops, administers, and implements EHS programs; conducts on-site EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments to verify OSHA/EPA/local requirements; documents controls for machine guarding, electrical safety, hazardous waste, chemical management, and ergonomics. Serves as site EHS compliance lead during regulatory inspections and audits; maintains regulatory horizon scans and translates changes into site actions. Partners with Operations, Engineering, and Facilities to embed EHS into daily work; builds relationships to drive safe behaviors and compliant processes. Delivers toolbox talks, safety communications, and training across multiple levels; mentors colleagues to foster a Find it, Fix it culture. Analyzes EHS performance data, identifies risks, and develops prioritized improvement plans; leads EHS improvement projects from scoping through sustainment. Adapts local site strategies to corporate/local/global standards (including ISO-aligned expectations where relevant) and supports environmental compliance activities, including permitting and required reporting.
