Job Summary
Senior Edge Compute & Backend Engineer at Cloudinary Delivery team. Own end-to-end solutions from requirements to production; act as technical authority for delivery infrastructure; develop and sustain internal microservices for the delivery platform; integrate external services and partners; participate in knowledge-sharing and on-call rotations; resolve complex inquiries from internal customers. Requires 8+ years backend experience, CDN expertise (Fastly, Cloudflare, Akamai, CloudFront), and proficiency in Go, JavaScript, and VCL; experience with distributed cloud architectures, AWS, and DevOps-oriented tooling; familiarity with data warehouse and monitoring tools. Collaboration with frontend/backend specialists to ensure high-performance, low-latency media delivery across the CDN network.
Required Qualifications
- At least 8 years of backend engineering experience
- Proven experience developing with major CDNs like Fastly, Cloudflare, Akamai, or CloudFront
- Proficiency in Go, JavaScript, and VCL
- Practical experience with at least one major CDN provider, including development using VCL or JS
