Job Summary
Senior EDA Tools and Systems Support Engineer (Remote) to bridge hardware design teams and internal infrastructure. Provide expert-level support for ECAD/EDA workflows (schematic capture, PCB layout) and automate design tasks with scripts (Python, Perl, TCL). Manage Linux-based EDA environments, license servers, and tool upgrades; create SOPs and knowledge bases for the design community; collaborate across teams to ensure high availability of design tools. Required experience in ECAD tools (Cadence Allegro/Concept or similar), Linux troubleshooting, and scripting; strong communication and documentation skills; and willingness to work outside standard hours on occasion. Preferred familiarity with license server administration, version control, and end-to-end hardware lifecycle knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering + 6 years of related experience, or Masters in Electrical Engineering + 3 years of related experience or equivalent related work experience
- 5+ years of experience in EDA/CAD engineering or support (Level 2/3)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with ECAD tools like Cadence Allegro, Concept, or similar
- Experience with Linux environments with the ability to troubleshoot system-level issues and automate workflows using scripting languages such as Python, Perl, TCL, Skill or other relevant languages
- Experience using AI tools to assist in creating code and documentation, and assisting with support cases
- Availability to work outside regular business hours and on weekends on an infrequent, as-needed basis
