Job Summary
Provide comprehensive legal support to startups, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess legal risks and develop mitigation strategies. Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including contracts and agreements, while conducting thorough legal research to inform decision-making. Advise on corporate governance matters and assist with entity formation and maintenance. Mentor junior associates and contribute to the development of best practices within the legal team. Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting the venture capital landscape.
Required Qualifications
- 7–10 years of experience in legal roles focused on compliance and corporate law
- Proven track record of working with startups and understanding their unique legal challenges
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and regulations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in venture capital or financial services sectors
- Familiarity with intellectual property law and its implications for startups
- Previous experience mentoring or leading junior legal professionals
