Job Summary
Senior Ecosystem Engineer to drive PlayStation's growing hardware product ecosystem; responsibilities include writing and maintaining ecosystem product specifications and validation plans, leading product validation activities at external test labs, and occasional travel to collaborate with test labs and engineering teams. Requirements include proven validation/qualification of consumer hardware with software components, strong technical writing and problem-solving skills, deep hardware/software integration testing knowledge, experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Jira), leadership of small/medium projects, and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field. This role is based in San Mateo with remote consideration and requires domestic and international travel (10%-15%), within an Agile/start-up-like environment within a large organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- Proven track record with validation and qualification of consumer hardware products with software components
- Strong technical writing, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Deep understanding of hardware/software system integration testing
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Jira
- Leadership experience with small to medium projects
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
