Job Summary
Coordinate and deliver multi-team ecological surveys across diverse field programs, including FIFO, DIDO, and local work, maintaining a 50/50 field/office balance. Manage small to medium projects from initial scoping and client liaison through to final delivery, applying knowledge of environmental legislation to design and execute multi-team surveys. Prepare high-quality technical reports, impact assessments, and approval deliverables while participating in conservation agreements and developing Biodiversity Offset strategies. Build strong client relationships through technical expertise and effective communication.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Ecology, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or equivalent
- 4+ years' postgraduate experience in fauna and/or flora surveys in NSW
- Strong understanding of relevant Commonwealth and State environmental legislation
- Experience designing and implementing surveys for threatened species and ecological communities
- Consulting experience and/or motivation to develop project management capability
- Demonstrated experience preparing and managing environmental reports
- Willingness to undertake remote and local fieldwork as required
- Current driver's licence
- White Card
- First Aid Certificate
