Job Summary
Perform Echo and Stress Echo tests, Transesophageal (TEE) Echocardiograms, and Doppler ultrasound in the Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab, EP and Cath Lab, OR, ICU, and at the bedside. Provide patient care while maintaining Basic Life Support certification. Requires three years of experience, a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, or equivalent Echo Tech experience. Adult echocardiography registry (ARDMS, RDCS, or RCS) must be obtained within 12 months of hire. This part-time role is based at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA, supporting a Magnet hospital recognized for nursing excellence and specialized in heart, vascular, and spine care.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience
- Bachelor's Level Degree, Associate's Level Degree - CARDIOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGY OR High School Diploma
- Echo Tech experience in lieu of education
- Basic Life Support
- Adult echocardiography registry (ARDMS, RDCS or RCS) required within 12 months of hire
