Job Summary
Senior Manager, National Engagement leads contracting and national programming initiatives for LA28’s government affairs portfolio, including coordinating with 12+ cities and overseeing a no-negotiation contracting strategy across 200 U.S. cities. The role requires strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to drive events, partnerships, and public engagement for the LA28 Games. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in government relations or policy advocacy, strong contract negotiation skills, exemplary written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage complex, nationwide programming while navigating regulatory and political dynamics. The position operates on East Coast/Central Time zones, requires onsite work in a Los Angeles office, and may involve evenings and weekends for special events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in government relations, policy advocacy, or a similar environment
- Demonstrated experience negotiating and managing contracts
- Proven ability to quickly cultivate and sustain relationships with local government stakeholders
