Job Summary
Senior EAP Counselor- Psychiatry provides short-term counseling, assessments and referrals for clients of the EAP; conducts supervisor information and training sessions; serves as a lead worker to other EAP Counselors; may serve as back-up for EAP Manager and EAP Director in supervising the office; conducts psychosocial assessments, screenings and triage; develops individualized care plans; supports patients dealing with social, emotional, financial and environmental factors; delivers short-term individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and skills training; collaborates with medical providers and interdisciplinary team members on diagnosis and treatment of behavioral health and psychosocial issues.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s in social work or related field
- Excellent interpersonal and team leadership skills
- Excellent clinical skills in mental health and addictions treatment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ten or more years of experience
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) highly recommended
