Job Summary
Senior DSP Scientist – Sonar & Acoustic Systems role in a fully onsite lab in Columbia, MD. Lead design and implementation of acoustic detection, classification, localization, and tracking algorithms; apply biologically inspired auditory models; build prototype underwater sensing systems; use machine learning for classification and noise modeling; lead R&D lifecycle from design to field-testing; contribute to proposals and research-direction shaping; require a PhD and 8+ years of experience, with active Secret clearance and US citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Math, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in signal processing, acoustic modeling, or sonar systems
- Fluency in Python and/or MATLAB for algorithm design and data analysis
- Ability to work independently on technical challenges and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Active Secret clearance or higher
- U.S. Citizenship
