Job Summary
Lead and manage a team of Driver Development Coaches within the Driving Academy, shaping and delivering structured inductions and CPC training for LGV drivers; conduct 1-2-1 performance reviews and coaching, identify operational improvements, and develop training materials aligned with health and safety policies; ensure accurate documentation and support flexible scheduling to cover night shifts, weekends, and regional service centres; strong focus on compliance with tachograph and Working Time regulations and driving regulations while fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year practical Class 1 C+E driving experience
- Comprehensive understanding of tachograph and Working Time regulations
- Proven coaching credentials with ability to deliver structured training programmes
- Experience leading and managing a team of coaching professionals
- Flexible to support 24-hour distribution network including night shifts and weekends
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to design and deliver driver CPC modules
- Experience updating training documentation in line with company policies and safety standards
