Senior Distribution Engineer – PPL Electric Utilities

Job Summary
Lead and coordinate complex electric distribution designs for mid-to-large scale projects within the Philadelphia office. Perform thorough Quality Assurance design reviews and peer reviews for all project documents, while resolving technical concerns and providing guidance to ensure client standards are met. Prepare scoping documents, review project drawings in TED, and mentor team members to maintain high-quality deliverables. This role supports the expansion of KDM Engineering's presence in the region, leveraging expertise in utility distribution design and QA/QC processes.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- P.E.
- 8 years minimum of experience with Distribution Design
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards
- Ability to interface effectively with clients, employees, and management team
- Must be willing to comply with all pre-employment screening, including but not limited to, drug testing, reference verification, education and employment verification, and background screening
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- 10+ years of utility distribution experience
- preferably with PPL Electric Utilities
- Knowledge of PPL Electric Utilities standards and distribution design practices
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology Preferred
- P.E. Preferred
