Senior Director, Wafer Planning

Senior Director, Wafer Planning leads the company’s global wafer planning strategy across internal fabs and external foundry partners to maximize factory utilization, ensure supply continuity, and optimize cost and working capital. The role owns wafer capacity planning, entitlement management, and decisions on internal vs external sourcing, plus medium- to long-term wafer supply strategy across 6” and 8” technologies. Partners with Fab Operations, Demand Planning, Assembly & Test, Engineering, and Finance to balance growth, risk, and efficiency in a constrained manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include owning global wafer loading plans, entitlement management, and escalation; translating demand forecasts into actionable wafer supply strategies; defining inventory strategy and risk builds; leading response plans to supply disruptions and capacity shortages; cross-functional governance and executive reviews; external foundry management and long-term agreements; and building scalable planning processes, tools, and analytics. Leadership responsibilities cover mentoring senior planners, building a strong succession pipeline, and driving global collaboration across U.S. and Asia manufacturing with optional Mandarin language capability.
