Job Summary
Lead teams managing geopolitics, macroeconomics, and asset-class mandates while monitoring global economic and financial market conditions. Develop and apply analytical frameworks to assess economic phenomena, translating views into actionable insights for portfolio construction and benchmark definition. Support asset classes in executing mandates and validate alignment between strategies and mandates to reinforce alpha-beta separation. Prepare briefings and analytical input for senior management and Board discussions regarding long-term global outlooks. Collaborate transversally across the CIO group to align bottom-up perspectives with top-down strategic priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a finance-related field
- A minimum of fifteen (15) years in the finance industry
- Recent experience managing teams in a similar function
- Excellent communicator notably great ability to clearly communicate complicated/technical concepts
- Very good knowledge of public and private markets
- Concrete experience with private markets
- Very good networking abilities
- Act in a role of influence
- In-depth understanding of major developed and emerging economies, their financial markets, and geopolitical characteristics
- Previous experience in a pension fund or similar institution
- Experience in managing teams with highly technical knowledge
- Proficiency in English and French
- Frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York
- Interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree strongly preferred
