Job Summary
Develop and maintain a best-in-class security program for the NY Knicks, ensuring team personnel and players are always protected domestically and globally. Conduct investigations involving game incidents with the Intelligence and Investigation team and travel throughout the season to provide personal player security for all games at MSG and on the road. Participate in security planning and on-site management for special events including the NBA, All-Star Games, Drafts, and Playoffs. Coordinate player-specific needs and appearances in accordance with team policies, disseminate security information to executives and staff, and provide personal security for family members as directed. Ensure the highest level of guest experience while maintaining a secure environment in areas with potential public/player interaction. This role supports business continuity and crisis management efforts within Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. Candidates will work closely with the Director of Event Operations, Director of Building Security, and Director of MSG Intelligence to coordinate player activities.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10+ years of security operations and management experience
- knowledge of events and/or sports operations
- Ability to develop and execute company and departmental standard operating procedures (SOP's)
- effectively articulate and manage security budgetary initiatives
- Strong background and experience in emergency planning/business continuity
- ability to effectively provide close supervision, guidance, and structure to staff
- Proven ability to assess, develop and successfully execute strategic internal and external security plans
- ability to quickly adapt to change as required by events
