Job Summary
Senior Director, Strategic Finance for College Board leads FP&A across the organization, owning expense management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to drive strategic decisions. Manages a team of finance business partners, partners with HR and Accounting, consolidates reporting for senior management and the Board, and oversees system initiatives (Workday/Adaptive Planning). The role requires a track record of leadership, cross-functional collaboration, compelling data-driven storytelling, and the ability to influence leadership through clear analysis and execution. This is a fully remote role with occasional travel, offering a competitive salary range and a strong mission-driven culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related technical field
- 12+ years of relevant and progressive FP&A experience
- Strong experience in expense management, budgeting and forecasting
- Experience with financial modeling and quantitative analyses
- Experience with financial planning systems, especially Workday and Adaptive Planning
- Ability to succinctly summarize complex financial analysis and present to senior management
- Project management skills and ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects
- Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Willingness to travel 4-6 times per year to College Board offices or on behalf of business
- Strong communication, leadership and coaching abilities
- Ability to foster a collaborative, inclusive, high-performance culture
- Experience turning data into actionable insights for senior leadership
