Job Summary
Set and enforce standards for qualifying opportunities, scoping Proof of Concepts, and managing Solution Engineer engagement across the team. Act as the primary check on the sales process to push back on deals, scope creep, or timelines that do not meet rigorous quality bars. Coach the pre-sales bench on technical approach, deal strategy, and customer needs while recruiting to fill gaps as the organization scales. Partner as a peer with GVPs and account teams to shape how $5M+ enterprise deals are qualified and resourced. Build the operating rhythm for pre-sales through capacity allocation and opportunity prioritization to ensure SE time goes to high-value opportunities. This role requires 8+ years in enterprise pre-sales or sales engineering with direct experience on complex $5M+ deals and people leadership experience. The position is based in the East Coast with preference for remote work, offering a total compensation range of $300,000–$350,000 USD.
