Job Summary
Senior Director, School Safety responsible for partnering with state and district leadership to reimagine and implement the district vision for student and staff security. The role leads daily school law enforcement activities, develops and maintains duties and performance standards for security personnel, deploys resources across facilities, monitors EVVRS, develops emergency/crisis plans, leads training programs, manages departmental budget, and collaborates with principals to create building safety plans. It requires a Master's degree, SORA certification or ability to obtain, a valid driver's license with insurance and vehicle, a background check, and U.S. citizenship or legal residency; the position is twelve months with salary between $120,000 and $150,000 and residency in New Jersey is required.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Required SORA certificate (Security Officer Registration Act) or ability to obtain in 2 year period
- Demonstrated understanding of the use of computers and related systems
- A valid driver's license as well as current insurance and vehicle with valid registration
- Required criminal history background check, physical and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
