Job Summary
Senior Director of Sales for the Industrial vertical; responsible for building and scaling a high-growth sales organization from the ground up, overseeing a team of Sales Directors, and driving enterprise-level growth and strategic partnerships. Owns the Industrial GTM strategy and playbooks, codifies closing processes into repeatable systems, and leads lighthouse account closures and long-term enterprise partnerships. Develops organizational structure, hiring, onboarding, and people development; designs the Relay Industrial Playbook for Trials/POCs, MSA negotiations, and procurement workflows; optimizes sales velocity and win rates across Auto, Steel, Food & Bev, and Logistics segments. Serves as primary cross-functional bridge to Product, Engineering, and Marketing; influences product roadmap based on field feedback to maintain leadership in frontline AI technology. Requires travel up to 40% to engage customers and support field teams; Bachelor's degree mandatory with MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred
- 5+ years of Sales leadership experience in Industrial-focused SaaS or IoT environment
- 3+ years experience as a second-line leader (managers/directors)
- Travel ability up to 40% to engage with key customers and support field teams
