Job Summary

Develop a sales strategy that meets company objectives and customer expectations while leading teams to deliver consistent quarterly revenue targets for India and export regions in Africa, the Middle East, and SAARC. Create sales budgets and forecasts, evaluate performance against leading and lagging indicators, and drive business development to increase market share through integrated sales and marketing initiatives. Lead a large-scale, multi-year sales and commercial transformation program spanning go-to-market redesign, CRM enablement, and pricing strategy by orchestrating cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Marketing. Establish transformation governance and demand generation efforts to build a qualified pipeline and accelerate conversion.

Required Qualifications

  • BE/BTech with MBA from TIER 1 Business School
  • 15-20 years of experience in Technical Sales/Business Development leadership role managing sales revenues of $50Milllion USD as a minimum in industrial equipment space
  • demonstrated experience leading or playing a lead role in large-scale, cross-functional transformation or change initiatives spanning sales, marketing, and operations
  • Must have proven ability to mentor, coach, direct, and assess groups/teams to utilize tools and increase productivity
  • Experience in managing a large, diverse team across multiple business units
  • Excellent leadership skills, as evidenced by a track record of hiring, retaining, developing, and motivating top sales talent
  • Proven track record of identifying sales opportunities within new and existing accounts; identifying, managing, and solving conflicts with clients; and meeting deadlines
  • Proven success managing profit and loss
  • Experience with low volume manufacturing and a high mix product offering/highly technical portfolio
  • Advanced knowledge of technical sales to customers
  • Ability to travel

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience implementing large-scale initiatives and tracking results
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale business or commercial transformation programs — go-to-market redesign, sales and marketing integration, CRM/digital enablement, pricing, and process standardisation — with measurable, sustained business impact
  • Strong program- and change-management capability, including PMO/governance design, stakeholder alignment, and milestone/benefit tracking across a multi-year roadmap
  • Proven ability to build and lead an integrated sales and marketing engine — demand generation, product marketing, channel and partner programs, and pricing — in a technical, industrial B2B environment
  • Experience liaising with and driving alignment across diverse functions (Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, Marketing, Aftermarket, and Quality) within a matrixed, multi-region organization
  • Ability to work across all levels and lead through influence
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required; ability to recommend alternative solutions and translate complex concepts into simplified and understandable examples
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Ability to translate a sales strategy into specific team objectives
