Job Summary

Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Cancer Service Line across Oregon in partnership with the Executive Medical Director. Establish vision, priorities, and performance expectations to drive growth, quality, and financial sustainability while co-leading service line governance structures. Oversee approximately 250 caregivers and multiple ambulatory oncology sites supporting more than 100,000 annual patient visits, ensuring alignment among physician leaders, hospitals, and system stakeholders. Develop comprehensive service line strategies, execute quality improvement initiatives, and manage workforce engagement to advance clinical excellence and program innovation.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • 10 or more years of job-related experience
  • 8 years of senior-level management experience in health care
  • Experience leading, organizing and managing major clinical programs and business services and functions
  • Solid financial background gained through both operational and business planning experience
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with physician and other health care professionals
  • Working knowledge of healthcare reimbursement principles
  • Working knowledge of information systems
  • Working knowledge of cost management
  • Working knowledge of quality management
  • Working knowledge of change management
  • Understanding and comfort in a matrix structured environment
  • Ability to understand and manage the needs and preferences of a population served
  • Ability to manage the efficiency and quality of services for a patient population across service lines
  • Ability to process information and adapt quickly to a changing healthcare environment
  • Ability to lead projects from conception to implementation
  • Cognitive and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ethical discernment
  • Understanding and ability to maximize the safe use of intranet and internet for work

  • Onsite location at Providence Portland Medical Center campus (not hybrid/remote)
