Job Summary
Senior Director, Product & Portfolio Management will lead Surgery R&D portfolio governance, guide portfolio decisions, manage risk, and lead a high-performing team that accelerates delivery of innovative products addressing meaningful patient needs. Responsibilities include chairing portfolio reviews, refining portfolio tools and dashboards, driving cross-functional collaboration across Global Head R&D and Platform Presidents, ensuring timely escalation of issues, reporting on KPIs, and promoting operational excellence through governance, gating criteria, and metrics. The role requires leading, coaching, and developing the PPMG team, enabling rapid decision-making and strategic alignment across a matrix organization, with travel up to 20%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, business, or a related field
- 12+ years of relevant experience in R&D leadership, portfolio/program management, or strategic planning in a regulated environment
- Experience developing and presenting portfolio analyses and recommendations to senior leadership
- Proven success influencing and partnering across complex, global matrix organizations including at senior leadership and executive levels
