Job Summary
Lead NYPA’s Demand Flexibility and Product Development with end-to-end product lifecycle oversight—from inception, design, and build to launch, growth, and sunset—while driving go-to-market strategies for new energy services, including demand flexibility and VPP solutions. Build and coach cross-functional product teams spanning technical, environmental, commercial/marketing, and financial disciplines; develop business cases, requirements, user stories, and artifacts to guide development; ensure customer-focused solutions aligned with in-market offerings; represent product strategy in industry events and with stakeholders. Strong leadership, strategic planning, and exceptional communication are essential for delivering meaningful value to NYPA’s customers and achieving sustained success across energy efficiency, electrification, and decarbonization initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Strategic Planning or the equivalent required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or the equivalent, preferred
- Advanced degree in Business Administration or related field, preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with energy project/business development
- Minimum of 3 years of people management/leadership experience
- Experience working in or with government agencies, preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel required 15% of the time
- Valid NY State driver’s license
- Ability to visit customer sites
