Senior Director - Process Safety

Establish and maintain an enterprise-wide Major Hazard Risk Management Framework, defining Critical Controls for molten metal handling, high-voltage systems, gas networks, and pressure vessels. Lead the strategic shift from traditional lagging metrics to Serious Injury and Fatality prevention, governing event classification, barrier health monitoring, and independent verification of Life-Saving Rules. Provide governance oversight for engineering integrity, Management of Change, and safe design reviews, ensuring process safety requirements are embedded in all capital projects. Integrate advanced technologies including AI-based predictive analytics, real-time monitoring, and automated shutdowns to reduce catastrophic risk exposure. Deliver quarterly Board-level reporting on process safety indicators, critical control effectiveness, and major hazard risk heat maps. Authorize the suspension of high-risk operations when critical controls are non-compliant and enforce risk-based deadlines for corrective actions.
