Senior Director, Private Sales in the UK focused on growing profitability and performance for London Private Sale. Responsibilities include developing and executing strategic initiatives to grow the UK private sales business, generating revenue by sourcing and selling blue-chip modern and contemporary art above $1M, collaborating with client development to identify client priorities and action plans, managing the European Private Sales Manager and Client Liaison, working with the Global Private Sales team, participating in major auctions by bringing clients through Sotheby’s galleries, producing and executing bids, attending interest meetings, and providing post-sale service; maintaining a high profile in the art market by attending major art fairs, exhibitions and museum openings. Ideal experience requires 12+ years, deep expertise in contemporary art, strong client service orientation, leadership experience, and a blend of strategic and creative thinking with excellent communication.
