Job Summary
Plan and direct the Business Unit's policies, objectives, and initiatives for the Intermodal Division to meet budgeted financial goals and drive operational excellence. Lead strategy execution, top-line growth initiatives, and full administrative, financial, and sales responsibility while ensuring compliance with government regulations and corporate programs. Provide oversight of 1-3 direct reports, motivate teams to achieve EBITDA targets, and foster a culture focused on safety, quality, and cost effectiveness through continuous improvement methodologies. Liaise with Division leadership to drive synergies and provide regular updates on strategy and performance to the Division President and Corporate Office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related area
- 5-10 years of progressive operations management experience in the metals/intermodal industry
- Well-established people leadership skills spanning organizational levels, with proven ability to formulate organizational vision and strategy and lead a team in achieving it
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles, with expertise in interpreting contracts and customer negotiations
- Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills, with strong knowledge of industry best practices in logistics and demonstrated ability to apply Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of Federal, State, OSHA, and EPA regulations
- Currently authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to travel overnight up to 50%
- Must be able to supervise 1-3 direct reports
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
