Job Summary

Senior Director of People to lead and scale the firm’s people function at a pivotal growth phase. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to the Executive Leadership Team, shaping enterprise-wide talent and organizational effectiveness strategies to enable growth, strengthen leadership capability, support succession readiness, and sustain the workforce. Key focus areas include strategic people leadership, performance management and development, employee relations and culture, talent acquisition and workforce planning, compensation and rewards, and people operations, compliance, and technology. Responsibilities include designing a multi-year people roadmap aligned to growth and culture; aligning workforce planning with business objectives; building and improving performance management, learning programs, and career pathing; overseeing full-cycle recruitment; conducting market benchmarking; ensuring pay equity and scalable processes; ensuring compliance with federal/state employment laws; and partnering with shared services on benefits, payroll, and HRIS. Requires 10+ years of progressive People experience with at least 3+ years in a senior leadership role, deep expertise across HR domains, and a track record of influencing senior leaders in a high-growth organization. Salary range is USD 175,000–USD 200,000. Located in Chicago with a hybrid work arrangement (office three days a week).

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive People experience
  • 3+ years in a senior leadership role
  • Deep expertise across talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations, learning and development, and compliance
  • Proven ability to lead and scale People programs in a high-growth organization
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and navigate complex organizational dynamics
  • Excellent communication and business acumen
  • Strong project management and problem-solving abilities
  • Discretion and sound judgment

Desired Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive People experience
  • 3+ years in a senior leadership role
  • Experience building and scaling People programs in a high-growth organization
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and navigate complex organizational dynamics
  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent certification (preferred)
  • Experience in registered investment advisor or financial services environments (preferred)
  • Exposure to multi-state employment and M&A integrations (preferred)
  • Strong communication, business acumen, and project management skills
