Job Summary
Senior Director of Operations for the Eliot School and the Friends of the Eliot, responsible for all non-instructional and financial functions, day-to-day operations, and organizational viability. Lead strategic planning with the Executive Director, oversee governance with the Eliot Innovation Board and Friends of the Eliot, develop and manage multi-year financial models and annual budgets, oversee facilities, school systems and events, coach and develop Operations staff, manage HR processes, transportation, IT, compliance and reporting, and support renewals and state/federal program compliance (DESE/BPS). They will maintain handbooks, ensure procurement compliance, and coordinate capital improvement projects while partnering across governance and program teams to advance mission and operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5-10 years of work experience in education or non-profit management
- management/team leader experience
- Detail-oriented, analytical, poised
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, project management, and time-management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ability to learn software and databases
Additional Requirements
- City of Boston residency requirement
- Not eligible for vacation or compensatory time; 223-day work-year schedule
