Senior Director of Individual and Organizational Giving

Job Summary
Lead the individual and corporate giving team by supervising four full-time staff and directing cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for major donors across Travis and Williamson counties. Manage high-ROI donor portfolios, organize year-round community engagement including fundraising and volunteer events, and develop engagement tools with Marketing. Collaborate with leadership to establish annual revenue goals, track projections, and adjust tactics to drive growth in the individual donor base. Ensure excellent stewardship for donors valued at $1,000 and up, while providing data and guidance to board members and volunteer leaders. This role reports to the Chief Development and Marketing Officer within a nonprofit focused on breaking economic barriers in Central Texas.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for philanthropy and donor stewardship
- Experience and joy for guiding a fundraising team (staff and volunteers) to success
- Confidence and success in soliciting major donors
- Skills to prepare, train and support volunteer leaders in making asks for major gifts
- Experience creating meaningful and memorable donor cultivation and fundraising events
- Ability to quickly immerse yourself into the mission and program work to gain knowledge and understanding about opportunities for special and major gifts
- Ability to think strategically about the long-term trajectory of our work and effectively communicate the impact of investing in our community
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong storytelling, editorial, and presentation skills
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and a passion for social justice
- Ensure meaningful and timely donor relationship tracking in CRM for all mid-major individual donors
- A highly motivated, self-starting, and results driven approach
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong team building skills; ability to work well with staff in all departments; comfortable working with diverse groups
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent of education and experience
- 6+ years of experience in nonprofit work, fundraising and development
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Major Gift fundraising (preferred)
